Hiron achieves significant energy savings thanks to iJF's VCC management

Hiron Commercial Cold Chain Co., Ltd., a major Chinese manufacturer of food service equipment, has achieved significant energy savings thanks to CAREL's iJF solution for variable capacity compressors: this technology has been integrated into Hiron's new chest freezer, showing significant progress in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability.
The adoption of the iJF solution has responded to the growing market demand for high-efficiency refrigeration solutions. New international regulations are pushing OEM manufacturers to create more sustainable units, which, thanks to natural refrigerants, allow for lower energy consumption. In particular, serial mode management of VCC technology involves the controller, based on cooling demand, sending the speed variation request to the inverter via a serial communication protocol. Communication is bidirectional: the controller sends the speed control signal and receives related feedback, such as alarms.
With the integration of variable speed compressors, the use of R290 refrigerant, and an advanced PID regulator, Hiron's new chest freezer can offer numerous advantages, including optimised maintenance management, optimal food preservation due to temperature stabilisation, and reduced noise and vibrations. Thanks to iJF, temperature fluctuations are minimised (below 2°C), and compared to the use of fixed-speed compressors, VCC technology has achieved a 25% reduction in consumption.
