CAREL at the ASHRAE Winter Conference 2025: focus on IAQ, energy efficiency, and maintenance

CAREL will participate in the ASHRAE Winter Conference, scheduled to take place in Orlando, USA, from 8 to 12 February 2025. On 12 February, Raul Simonetti, HVAC/R Corporate Business Manager at CAREL’s Knowledge Centre, will speak at Seminar 55 with a presentation titled “A Good Compromise for IAQ, Energy Saving, and Maintenance (with Focus on Humidifiers).”

The session, scheduled from 9:45 to 10:05 AM EST, will focus on balancing indoor air quality (IAQ), energy savings, and optimising operational and maintenance costs, with a particular emphasis on the role of humidification systems. The presentation will discuss design strategies for ventilation systems that ensure healthy indoor environments while minimising resource consumption and indirect CO₂ emissions. Topics will include approaches that integrate energy recovery, continuous control, and monitoring to achieve high efficiency with 100% outdoor air, reducing operational costs in various climatic conditions. The session will also explore key themes such as airborne infection risk mitigation, the use of adiabatic systems for cooling, and the importance of control systems in 100% outdoor air systems.
